LAKE CITY -- Florence County deputies charged Benjamin R. Matthews, 32, of Lake City, Friday with one count of Criminal Conspiracy.
Investigators say Matthews agreed to take and get rid of a John Deere zero turn lawn mower worth about $4500.
He faces a fine of up to $5000 and up to five years in prison.
Matthews was released on a personal recognizance bond.
