Question : i have a 1999 volvo vnl 610 w/ 60 series detroit that is throwing all of my coolant out of the reservoir and into the over flow tank even though engine is not overheating ? I replaced the thermostats (190),the reservoir cap, new metal radiator, engine fan runs. The engine temp avg 190 degrees never to 210 degrees on a hill then goes back to 190 degrees.
Answer : Ya, it is steel braided. If it quits blowing coolant out of the reservoir after you do this, then it is the comp head gasket, which would require Air compressor replacement.
