Question : YELLOW JACKETS NEST in our yard, in the ground. What can we do to get rid of them. We normally do not use pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers because I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and we have a dog with a very weak stomach. Our lawn mowing crew find the nest by accident and we are just wondering if we need professional pest service. If not, how do you sneak up on them, and not get stung while doing whatever you advise to get rid of them. I know we were able to kill weeds through our patio with plain white vinegar, but these look like the ‘thugs” of the insect world and they are guarding their nest pretty fiercely. Wondering what it will take to get them out, there have already been 5 stings and we need a solution, so as usual, i turn to you at Just Answer. What is our next step?
