Does John Deere's CEO Get It? | NewsReal Blog
I can't possibly give you all my thoughts about yesterday's health care summit meeting, but this .84 percent of President Obama's 119 minutes worth of remarks does deserve some special attention.
First, a little set up. The President wanted to explain to the dullard Republicans and the rest of us watching on C-SPAN 3 ("The Tres!") how not all insurance policies are equal. Now, this seems like an obvious thing to anyone with a brain in their heads, but the Lecturer-in-Chief felt the need to lay it out for ... U.C. Irvine’s Modern Middle Eastern Studies Professor, Mark LeVine has a serious problem. He is part of a movement within Islam seeking to present a new face to the world. But since February 9, 2009, LeVine has been throwing temper tantrums. Eleven Muslim students were arrested for disrupting visiting Israeli Ambassador, Michael Oren, during a conference sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Orange County, California.
The audience had gathered to listen to the Ambassador, but the disgruntled activists decided that the event was actually about them and their ... Baghdad Jim's attack on the CIA was smacked down by Pete Hoekstra yesterday.
While most of the politically aware public, and all of the news organizations, were focused on the Obama/Republican Health Care Summit, radicals in the House of Representatives tried to push an amendment that banned such “degrading” procedures as “threatening” a terrorist detainee, or, causing a detainee’s to “blaspheme” (not kidding) in an interrogation.
Congressman Pete Hoekstra, despite the huge disadvantage his party holds in Congress was able to embarrass the Democrats into stopping the vote with ... As I told you here last month, Obama Organizing for America has been building an army of talk radio "seminar callers" -- that is, activists tasked with calling conservative talk radio programs, then dutifully repeating DNC talking points until the program director hangs up on them.
Yesterday, they unveiled their website: Radio.BarackObama.com.
If you thought leftists were condescending to conservatives, check out this site to discover how patronizing they can be to each other.
It actually includes simple, step-by-step instructions on how to, er, find stations on the radio. Then ... Bill O'Reilly must be angling for an interview at the White House with President Obama because he gave Obama high marks for his handling of the health care summit yesterday. I watched most of it and saw a pedantic, petulant, arrogant Obama who spoke for 119 minutes - nine minutes more than the 110 minutes that all 17 Republicans took to make their statements. When added to the time taken by the Democratic congressional spokespersons, the Obamacare supporters consumed a whopping 233 minutes.
Obama's justification for the imbalance:
I'm the president.
Obama set his partisan tone ... The movie "The Pirates of the Caribbean" is the perfect application of the phrase "It takes one to know one". Two pirate captains, Barbossa and Jack Sparrow, battle against each other to gain power by the use of dirty tricks. Even the Royal Navy, who you would think to be the good guys, sink to the use of treachery. Moreover, the highest ranking officer, Lord Cutler Beckett, is in cahoots with the East India Trading Company and turns out to be the biggest rat aboard ship.
The message, if there is one, seems to be: Trust ... Behold a traitor to his country, American millionaire businessman Grover Norquist. If you did not see Jamie Glazov’s interview with author and AtlasShrugs blogger Pamela Geller in Front Page Magazine yesterday, you must go back and read it. If you ever wondered, as I did many times, why George W. Bush told us for eight years that Islam is a religion of peace, and you could not figure out why The President of The United States of America could not see what was plainly in front of ... Although the American people are rejecting ObamaCare loudly at town hall meetings and in public opinion polls the Democratic Party's outreach arm, Organizing for America (OFA), thinks that trying to swamp conservative talk radio with liberal callers will somehow make Americans support socialist medicine.
"The fate of health reform has been a focus of debate in living rooms and offices, on TV and online — and on talk radio. And since millions of folks turn to talk radio as a trusted source of news and opinions, we need ... Race-baiting, America-hating, cop killer-loving, self-described communist revolutionary Van Jones is trying to make a comeback.
Jones has taken a position at the Center for American Progress, plans to teach at Princeton, and is going to receive an award from the far-left NAACP, which has flirted with many other communists in the past. NAACP president Benjamin Jealous describes the dangerous Jones as "an American treasure" for embracing the fanciful notion of heavily government-subsidized "green jobs."
"Everybody's favorite self-described communist revolutionary is now on his comeback tour," Glenn Beck said on his ... When blogger Penelope Trunk tweeted her miscarriage last year, a writer at Double X urged women to take the idea even further in a piece called Go Ahead, Tweet Your Abortion. And now someone has done just that.
Shortly after Angie Jackson discovered she was pregnant, she announced her plans to broadcast the grisly details of her abortion on Twitter (using the hash tag #livetweetingabortion), YouTube, and her blog, Angie the Anti-Theist. She even inspired her first copycat abortion tweeter.
So much for abortion being about privacy.
Angie, an ... Average trip to the doctor's office: $100

Watching Rep. Paul Ryan pawn President Obama at his own healthcare summit: Priceless
Today it became painfully obvious President Obama does not play chess. Pawned by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) at the President's own healthcare summit, Obama was forced to just sit there and take it. This bright, young conservative exposed the Democrat's healthcare gimmicks, and took Obama and Biden to task over whether Congress was “qualified” to know what the American people want.
Proving himself incapable of engaging on any level in ......
