I was quite dissappointed to find the muffler was made of plastic and appeared to have been broken off and reglued. It broke off while removing from box. This was a present for my grandson as I have that tractor in regular use on my farm and he is a big JD fan. I reglued the muffler and asked my grandson to play with it very carefully or display on his dresser, as I am sure the muffler is not firmly attached. I did not attempt to return it as the box was destroyed during removal.

The baseline is 1.5 turns out from snug, don't wrench em in, this can damage the needles. then fine tune when the engine gets up to temp, when you go up on the throttle quickly, engine speed should keep up, may or may not stumble but a little.
