A Georgia man faces a felony theft charge after Henry County authorities arrested him Monday and charged him with stealing a John Deere lawnmower.
According to a statement from the Henry County Sheriff’s and Abbeville Police Task Force, Gary Leonard Butts, 30, of Quitman, Ga., was charged with felony first-degree theft of property. Butts was charged with stealing the lawnmower from a residence on Henry County Road 32 West. He was arrested after law enforcement were called to respond to a confrontation between Butts and the property owner.
