This econometric study covers the world outlook for agricultural pull type and self-propelled auger and draper haying mower-conditioners and windrowers with conditioner across more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates are given for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.), for the country in question (in millions of U.S. dollars), the percent share the country is of the region and of the globe. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a country vis-à-vis others. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent demand estimates are created. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved. This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the 230 countries of the world). This study gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent demand, or the P.I.E., for agricultural pull type and self-propelled auger and draper haying mower-conditioners and windrowers with conditioner. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided across the world's regional and national markets. For each country, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time (positive or negative growth). In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on international strategic planning at graduate schools of business.

AGFORCE Grains president Lyndon Pfeffer’s mid-week expectation of deluging rains helping to fill in formerly parched areas of the Darling Downs has been delivered in spades.
Widespread crop-saving falls have buoyed growers currently experiencing one of the worst summer crop prospects on record.
And there’s even a smile on the faces of those who did not bother to dust-down their seeding rigs around the Christmas break - soil moisture levels already suggest a winter planting bonanza is on the cards.
Only last week the district’s summer crop were limping along on a day-to day basis in the run up to harvest with disappointing yields in prospect.
The reality is that not much rain at all fell during the last six months of '09.
But with a low and a trough – previously part of a monsoonal system – stalling over southern Queensland, the talk is of near 100mm falls spilling out of cob-webbed rain gauges and this week’s mood is bordering on near-euphoric.
“While we had that record sorghum crop three years ago it was only a one-off event,” Mr Pfeffer said.
“We’re looking to a really decent fall out of this weather system, perhaps around 100mls to get any Source
For 2010 two new mower conditioners, the Disco 8400 C Contour and Disco 9100 C Contour, have been added to the Claas triple mower range.
The addition of these two new ‘butterfly’ type triple mowers gives customers the option of five conditioner and two non-conditioner triple or butterfly models to choose from, with working widths from 8.10m up to 9.10m.
On both the new 8.10m Disco 8400 C Contour and 8.90m Disco 9100 C Contour mower conditioners, in order to reduce weight loading, and hence compaction, in addition to using higher strength materials, the mounting system for the outer two rear-mounted units is designed so that the mowers are positioned as close to the tractor as possible to reduce axle loading.
The two outer units are centrally suspended and incorporate the Claas Active-Float hydro-pneumatic suspension system. Depending on ground conditions, this system allows the operator to adjust the suspension pressure from the cab, so ensuring a clean cut and minimal risk of crop soil contamination.
The outer units also incorporate an automatic breakback feature where, due to the 15 degree mounting of the pivot arm, when an obstruction is hit the whole mower unit swings back and lifts to avoid potential damage.
