For deeper, heavier snow, consumers may want to opt for the gas-powered Toro Power Clear (418ZE) or the Craftsman Snow Thrower (88780).
Experts note that electric models are best suited for smaller areas less than 150 feet from a power source. More powerful gas models are heavier and louder and require more maintenance but can clear much larger areas.
