My old small snow blower broke down in blizzard 2009, I went out look for a big brand $1000 28" snow thrower but the only thing available was this "Yard Machine 24 inch". I was surprise ho good it is, very powerful, did great job!

Yard Machines Snow Thrower
Excellent performance for the heavy wet snows typical for the Baltimore Area. Plenty of power to muscle through 2 feet of snow.

New Cheapism Research Finds Quality, Affordable Snow Blowers For Winter Weather

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 08, 2011

A new buying guide by Cheapism.com, a review site dedicated to finding quality low-cost products, has identified the best cheap snow blowers under $500. The list comprises three electric models and two gas-powered models. The electric Toro Power Shovel (38361), the only power shovel among Cheapism’s picks, is best for light snow and hard-to-reach areas, while the eco-friendly, electric GreenWorks Snow Thrower (26032) is a bit more powerful and performs well in light to moderate snow. The WORX Snow Thrower (WG650), another top electric snow blower , is easy to handle in powdery white stuff up to eight inches deep. For deeper, heavier snow, consumers may want to opt for the gas-powered Toro Power Clear (418ZE) or the Craftsman Snow Thrower (88780).

Experts note that electric models are best suited for smaller areas less than 150 feet from a power source. More powerful gas models are heavier and louder and require more maintenance but can clear much larger areas.
