I generally pay little attention to the weather, but this year, the winter made me just a bit wistful for warmer temperatures and less snow or ice.
Now that I see my Princess tree starting to bud and the Dairy Queen is open, I know that it will soon be warm again.
Soon, we can get back to the yard work, school will be out, and summer will bring all manner of flowers onto the now drab landscape.
The young squirrels will be scampering in the oak tree and you will hear the baby birds chirping in the fence row.
I may even find a mushroom or two out by the garage as I did a couple of years ago.
Spring is such an enjoyable time of year if you take the time to observe the renewal of Planet Earth's flora and fauna.
Of course, for my farming friends, it is a busy season and one fraught with concerns about the weather. I'm praying for them to have good weather, after all they grow the good and I like to eat.
Watch out for them to be moving their equipment along the roads. I know that it moves kind of slow, but take it from someone who has ran a tractor down a hill with the clutch pushed in to see how fast it could go. You really don't want to see it move faster than it does.
If you're considering buying an electric or gas snow blower, then you probably want to make sure you get the absolute best one that money can buy. Deciding which machine is best for you isn't always easy, though, because the best snow blowers all have slightly different features and special functions that make them unique. Additionally, with over a dozen manufacturers to choose from like Toro, Ariens, Tory-Bilt, John Deere, Honda and MTD just to name a few, it can be a bit difficult proclaiming which ones are actually the "best snow blowers". However, with a little research I was able to narrow the selection down to the top 3 models for both gas and electric versions, based on information from customer reviews and brand reputation.
2 yearsThe Toro 1800 Power Curve is a small, lightweight electric thrower that is perfect for those who live in an area that doesn't see a whole lot of snowfall. These are recognized as some of the best snow blowers thanks to their Eco-friendly design, low maintenance and portability. They also come with quite a few nice features that make them better than other models such as the adjustable chute, which allows you to throw snowfall up to 30 feet in either direction you choose, and wheels, which are not a common thing you'll find on electric throwers. The major disadvantages to the Toro electric snow blowers is the fact that they are only cleared to be used on paved surfaces, it's not self-propelled, and the cord can often limit you from finishing your driveway.
