A wide variety of items are ready for the South Wind Hospice annual auction. Included among the items are trips, sports items and a ride along with racing legend Richard Petty. Show the items are (from left) Hospice Executive Director Ginger Goering, Hospice Auction Committee Board member Beth Montei and (seated) Hospice Community Relation’s Coordinator Joy Schwartz.
An opportunity to take a ride with NASCAR legend Richard “the King” Petty is just one of the items available at the upcoming South Wind Hospice Benefit Auction.
The auction “Rally for Hospice” has a racing theme and is the main fundraiser of the year for Hospice. The auction will help Hospice continue to provide services for their patients and families even if they don’t have a way to pay, said Joy Schwartz, Hospice Community Relations coordinator.
Following some difficult financial times, Hospice has cleared a lot of hurdles in the last year and has worked hard to reestablish good will in the community, said Ginger Goering, Hospice executive director.
