Customer Reviews:
Fuel line problem
The trimmer is cheap, and as they say, you get what you pay for. I read a couple reviews in which they were complaining about not being able to start the unit or it would not run for long; on any engine this points to a fuel problem. In the case of the Homelite one or two string models, the intake fuel line is a jury rig nightmare that needs to be replaced immediately and should have been done correctly at the factory: Remove the pieced together mess the factory installed and replace with one fuel line you can pick up from any lawn mower repair shop, run the fuel line through the hole in the tank, attach the filter and then pull the line away from the tank until you have enough to attach to the engine intake tube. You should not have to do this, but I am finding that over 50% of what I buy these days requires initial fixes to bad designs.
